Just left the JCT terminal in Sapulpa. I love that place! Every time we go there it reinforces with us that we made the right choice to drive for JCT. Everyone is so happy and friendly, we love the open door policy, we can walk right in and say hi to everyone. We met Olin in person for the first time, he is Tim's dispatcher. We love that guy! He has been so helpful and nice to us. Keith is a cool guy too, love that man! All the ladies are sweet and so nice. The guard came to the truck window and sweet talked to my cute little dog on the way back out. When we got our truck washed the last time we were there, the guys in the wash bay were so nice and smiling and they were singing along to the radio while washing the truck, they seemed happy. The whole place has a good vibe, good energy and we left happy. What a great place to work!

I read this whole thread over the past week or so. Interesting stuff. The things I notice are the relaxed state of mind of JCT hands vs Prime's sheer panic am I gonna make it or not feeling. I don't know how one company can sell you a truck for a $1 while the other one offers market value. The other thing is y'all are doing it coast to coast and with the ability to at least run 65 maybe a little faster vs Prime hands holding up traffic. I remember when seeing a prime truck coming up on you in the mirror meant get out of the left lane. They were fast. That would be a big plus to me there has to be some fun in it or it gets old quick. Anyway I enjoyed reading makes me miss my OTR days with CFI back in the early - mid 90's. We always had the ability to mash on it when we needed to and it is definitely more fun that way. Merry Christmas to y'all I hope JCT keeps being good to everyone.

I bought a nice 4.3cu ft fridge from Wal-Mart with separate freezer for a lil over hundred and strapped on top bunk. no way I'd spend $700 for a fridge

My last delivery was to Hiram, OH. This little burg is out in the middle of nowhere! I had an 07:00 appointment for today, so I sent in a Macro 12 to get directions in hopes of finding parking at the consignee or else somewhere near. The reply had the acronym, "OPA", which I took to be, "Overnight Parking Available" so I ran hard yesterday and arrived at about 20:00.

I went inside to try checking in early (possible, according to the Macro 12 dope) or to at least find out about parking. They didn't have an appointment for me at 07:00, or, as it turns out, at ANY time at all! A helpful loader went to see if there was room for the product, and soon I heard the welcome words, "Back into door 1." I bumped the dock, and twelve MINUTES later they were done! The loader came out and pointed to the parking area and wished me a good night. If only they were ALL this easy!

This morning it started to snow, and just as I was becoming concerned, a pre-plan squawked: pick up in Mason, OH going to Fort Worth. That's 235 miles deadhead and 986 loaded for a comfortable 1,221 paid miles. This load delivers Friday between 08:00 and 10:00. I hustled down towards Cincinnati to beat the three o'clock deadline and got there just before two. It took them all of 30 minutes to get me loaded and out of there. I'm on some kind of roll!

My goal is to make it to the Fort Worth drop yard tomorrow so that I can sleep in and miss the Dallas morning insanity. With that goal in mind, I got rolling south through the Cincinnati pre-rush hour and into the heart of the Louisville rush hour. My GPS found a Loves in Dickson, TN which fit my distance goal for today and I got here in time to snag the last spot on the lot. Tomorrow I'll have ~650 miles which will put me over 3,400 miles in six days. My logbook should have about 12 hours left for Friday and Saturday, lol. We'll see what they can do with THAT!

My last 10 trips have averaged 1,489 miles each. JCT advertises 1,200 miles for an average length of haul, but I maintain that 1,400 is my average. This is one of my favorite things with driving here. Speaking of length of haul, Soule_Man finished a nice, light, 5-stop trip from Casa Grande, AZ to Richmond, VA. He's on the Christmas hometime list and they sent him a pre-plan going from VA all the way back to California, lol. Very tempting, I'm sure, but he called his DM and negotiated a truce and went home today. Hurry up and get back out here and we'll go out and eat some Mexican!
