THe Joplin Petro and the Iowa-80 are owned by the same company. The original at Iowa 80 has three trucks, 379, W900, and a Classic XL in the building, Joplin location has a 379 and W900. I have been to both in the last month. Joplin location is better, though it doesn't have the Museum. But the prices are quite high at both.

Just found out we have minimum 3 more hours to wait. Waiting for product coming in on a truck. Are they kidding? And it doesn't go from that truck onto ours, it has to be possessed first. And there are two other trucks waiting for the same load to come in, so it needs to be divvied up first. I guess. OMG. Yes, this is crazy. It's raining out there and we are hungry, need to bundle up and walk a block up the road to a little store that has sandwiches, try to get them back here hot and dry, or at least dry. Chinese place will deliver but we have to spend $15 on food and a dollar a mile delivery charge. I am going to google pizza delivery, wish us luck.

Maybe you should ask them if the chickens have hatched yet? Is anybody in Yuma? I keep seeing some JCT trucks around.

Ask around to the other drivers if they want to order Chinese but with that you will be hungry in 30 minutes! at least I am, I pig out and then i am back in the same place not an hour later, Maybe Pizza will deliver to you, I'm sure Tim wants to Hammer down and get some miles behind him, So you better eat while there is down time. Good Luck! keep us informed as to when the other shoe or head drops.!

Wow, finding pizza delivery was a challenge. Mazzios closed down last June, the other stores won't deliver to Rogers. Finally just went with Dominoes, by accident. I asked Tim for the number to Pizza Hut, he gave me Dominoes and I ordered pasta, thinking it was the stuff from Pizza Hut that I like. LOL! Wonder what I'm getting? No wonder I was so darn confused while talking to the order taker! Tim ordered pizza. At least food is on the way. .....oh, and so is an ice storm. Great.

Some of these Tyson loads are the worst! I picked up mine in the 23rd hour of a 24 hour window in Olathe for a true drop and hook. This load is pretty interesting. It's going to take some creative planning to get it done with the hours I have. I wonder if I sent a message to the log department if they would send an electronic spike to my Qualcomm!

The preplan called for Olathe to Las Vegas (Woot!?!) for a Monday morning delivery. I got empty this morning and was looking at 10 hours available for today AND tomorrow, and picking up 10:10 on Sunday. A quick guesstimate yesterday had me getting within about 200 miles of Vegas by Sunday, so an early wake-up call and run through the darkness Monday and this should be easy!

When the actual load assignment came in, there were two stops in Vegas and a 5 pm Sunday drop in Goodyear, AZ. I'm going to have to average 61.25 mph to make it to Goodyear if I go through Flagstaff. I think that's doable, but I have a lot of highway miles before I ever see a big slab. The other problem is that my first drop in Vegas is at 06:00! The math is easy if we use in Central Standard Time: Stop in Goodyear at 6 pm and unload, let's log off duty at 6:05. Take a 10 hour break. Head to Vegas at 4:05 am for an 08:00 appointment. That's ~300 miles in 3:55. Have to average 77 mph. Well, that's all before rush hour so it should be no problem for my 68 mph truck!

My actual plan, such that it is, is to use my approximately 8.5 hours available tomorrow and try to make Tucumcari; 502 miles. Once I'm down on I-40, this load is trade bait. It's only 22,667 pounds, and 17,387 comes off in Goodyear! Any takers? We'll have to see if I can carry over a few minutes for Sunday. Tucumcari is 607 miles away if you go through Payson, or about 650 miles if you go through Flagstaff. I'll just have to see what it looks like after a few hours of Pedal Meets Metal.

If it works out, my plan is to arrive in Goodyear at least two hours early and get unloaded. Ten hours later I should be able to get up by stupid o'clock and run six hours to Sin City. Hopefully it won't come down to that.

Yes, I live right next door in Henderson, and we ARE talking about getting empty and at home on December 23rd. But I have a home time request for the 29th for when my two boys are flying in for New Year's. It's tempting to just take off the rest of the year, but that was never my plan. I'd rather just meet up with someone who has tons of hours and do a swap.

Could you just spill your coffee into the Qualcom thingy? That is always the excuse with guys that use paper logs. :biggrin_25519: Does the Qualcom rental come with an accidental damage insurance from JCT?
