US Xpress Couple Die In Fire

According the FHWA FARS database the most common single-vehicle crash circumstances are-: While going straight on a clear, dry road in daylight conditions the vehicle leaves the roadway for no apparent reason.

It's a bummer. I'll ride with 3 people. I used to be willing to sleep and ride with 2 people, but their vision ain't what it used to be.

 

This is a very sad moment, never want to hear stories like this

 

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time of sadness.

 

Does anyone know if it was driver error or faulty equipment? Either way, it sucks, especially right before xmas.

Anyone want to ask me what I think it was, It was a steer tire that went away and brought the side down on the tank and Ca-BOOM! Just my findings from all I have seen! But who am I?

 

I haven't posted for quite a while, but I thought I would chime in on this one. I run local in & around Lincoln & I entered I-80 on the ramp they landed on literally seconds before it happened. I got on the interstate, getting up to speed, checked my mirror & all I saw was black smoke. Needless to say I about made doody in my pants when I saw later on the news that the truck landed on the ramp I was just on. That aside, I feel for the family members left behind due to this tragedy. Thinking about the stretch of road, its hard to phathom what happened, but it is what it is. Sad

 

With a fire that intense, it may never be known as to "why".
I-80 takes a gradual curve to the left in the location where he left the roadway. The truck apparently ran off the right side of the roadway, prior to where the W/B entrance ramp from O Street to W/B I-80 passes under I-80. The ramp runs under I-80 (I-80 is an overpass at that point), and the truck ended up running down a steep embankment and crashing at the bottom, alongside the entrance ramp.
O Street runs parallel to I-80 and is just south of I-80.

 

Our most deepest heartfelt sympathy for their family and friends. May they find Strength as they make it through their tragic loss and find Peace here on Earth knowing that their Loved ones are watching down upon them as They're Lovingly Truckin' through Heaven Together. . God Bless
