I don't know if that uploaded. I only see a link.
I changed my profile picture to his truck if that helps. -
Well if he already owns the truck, then I'd just concentrate on a radio and let him put together the coax/antenna system later so that it works best for his truck.

TheFlame, I am going to say something here and I pray I don't offend anyone. Sometimes buying a CB, Gun, Tools and the like for a man, is like buying clothes, makeup, anything for the kitchen, shoes etc. Not to say YOU are like that or YOU don't know your flame enough to buy him these things, just something to think about. If we knew what make/model radio he has now, we could better assist you. But if he is like me, he may have his eyes on a Stryker or Magnum radio. If he just uses it for emergency's, road reports, or shipper/receiver assistance than he may not want anything more than a Cobra or Galaxy. I agree, the antenna can be left up to him, he may already have a good antenna on his truck.

I agree. I know what I like and I usually get it for myself, lol! I have talked to his cousin who drives and wanted to buy my husbands truck when he saw the great deal/condition it is in and he says there is a cobra 25 in there but we don't know if it works. I know my husband well enough that we drive a Suburban not an Escalade. We have had stripped work trucks instead of loaded dually's. He is very frugal but wants quality over name or looks. He would want me to spend the least to get one that is just as good as the fancier ones. He would prefer made in USA but I doubt they exist or I could afford it. Thank you Sheepdog!SheepDog Thanks this.

Thank you! It is awesome! It was a one owner/operator, covered mint condition original seats and carpet. 500k original miles. 99 or 98 not sure. Unreal deal. Sent by God for sure right when we lost our home, and farm(income.) So proud of my husband! He is ready to get in and ride a little while after being tied down to a chicken farm for 20 years!

Correction. It is a 2000.Last edited: Dec 19, 2013

The 25 will talk as good or better then any 29 with proper antenna setup. Need to find that out 1st. If it is in good order a nice Astatic Road King or other mic will make a good present. Is sleeper some odd size like a lot of Petes? Nice sheet sets for these are a good present although not cheap. Custom floor mats. The list goes on and on. Might try to feel him out and see what his plans are. And even if you give him a rock he should appreciate the love and thought behind it.

To the original poster, Hubby will most likely get more use out of satelite radio than a CB radio. If he needs a CB radio, he can find one for sale at a truckstop from time to time or from another driver who is quitting fairly often.

Check out e-Bay as they always have great deals. I picked up a Cobra that had been tweaked and came with a power mike for under 50 dollars.
