    not4hire - that is a great idea. So you'd have flexibility of the little giant (or werner equiv) but the added benefit of being able to hook securely to rub rail - sounds like the best of all worlds

    I've built two out of scrap steel. Both sets and rides in the stake pockets and flips down for use.

    We use the rail ladders. They are great and much safer then scaling a flatbed trailer. Worth every penny. Any ladder for that matter is safer. Some companies make you jump up and down, but I'm guessing their workman comp claims are pretty high.
