Flying J, Olive Branch, MS. Thought about going to the terminal since my trailer is there and said, screw it. Hate that terminal, especially when parking on a weekend. Rain the whole way, and heavy at times and flooding. Was going along when all of a sudden I hear this strange noise from my phone. Weather alert, flash flooding in the area. Got about 20 miles north of Memphis and the wind became squirelly, and felt the trailer a few times start to go. Got it dropped and they say that they can not give out mt trailers for some reason. I did not care. Some of these drop and hooks are getting old when it is drop your loaded, but you are not getting a mt. Pulled in here and went inside and they were talking about a tornado over in West Memphis. The guy was saying that he hoped that it hit the Flying J their. Just a while ago, some very heavy raid and wind. Paying attention to the sky. Was going to do laundry, and too lazy.
Good night from...

I was tired and lazy to get to a truck stop last night, today is a slow day so I might see if I still have a shower credit for TA thats 15 miles from here in Buttonwillow, I want to see if they happen to sell a cb antenna mount for this stupid cascadia since I cant find them at loves or Pilot and I have been without my cb since I got this truck, the antenna system fails diagnostics and I cant get out and hardly ever even receive. other option is to stop at Loves on the way back in Tehachapi and get a shower then bring the load in and go to the TA

just kidding merry christmas everyone, hope everyone who wants to get home is making progress. -
Ohhh it was fun around here just a short while ago. Phone goes off at 6, seek shelter, tornado warning. One was sighted in South Haven, just around the corner. Rain was straight down, then a shift in direction and straight sideways and sirens going off. Parking lot filled up with cars and everyone was heading inside

Laredo, TX, just out of the shop.
A/C fixed
New windshield
New fog light bulb
The only thing that didn't get fixed was the 12V plug. They didn't have a replacement.
When I checked my PTA it was still set to this morning at 0600. I guess the shop never changed it.
No plan as yet. -

Long story SHORT.... I'm on my 30 minute break in George, UT en route to Longmont, CO.
Woke up this morning in Mira Loma and checked to see how soon they would get my KW in the shop.... "Uh, not until Monday".... "WHATTTT?????"
I then went to ML dispatch and told them the situation of all the days I'd wasted on the truck. Very helpful. Gave me the name of the Manager at Fontana. I called Jeremy and he quickly assigned me to a new truck....
.... a '12 Cascadia!!!
Spent about two hours transferring stuff into my truck... miracle of miracles when I pulled my new truck over to the waiting line area my KW was...
... in the shop!??? No problem, they were scratching their heads trying to diagnose the high oil pressure reading and gave me permission to access my stuff.
I used almost an entire package of Lysol sterilizing wipes to try and remove the smell of urine from the new truck (yep, urine) and threw out the old mattress and got a new one. Still the smell of a Pilot latrine....
... I told Jeremy at this point I don't care about getting home for Christmas. With 3.5 days wasted on the KW and right now they say they aren't paying me any layover for any of it, Christmas will be grim. I need the miles. They'll try to route me right back home on Christmas or the day after. -
