    #### lepton that sucks, I would of called and said assign another truck if it smelled that bad, sometimes I wonder what the heck some drivers do in their trucks....

Took my Palmdale load and as I was on my way back I get plans coming in wanting me to head to Yussen in Long Beach which I did not know was planned on me since dispatch told me last night just Palmdale and I was right before Mojave when the messages came in so turned around and went back the other way, I lost about 50 miles or so. The dispatcher called me and asked if I was supposed to be going home since he only saw 6 hours on my 70 left, I told him not that I was told and I told him I gained 10:57 at midnight, he then asked if I wanted to go to Palmdale again tomorrow (today I guess) I keep forgetting im working late shifts, he said I could stop at the Loves on the way back in Tehachapi but not for a 34 just for the night and asked me if this helps, I told him that does not help my hours and he replies "no personal time" ummm im not waking my wife and daughter at 3am to visit so just keep me rolling on my recaps since I am used to staying out more than just a few days anyway.... The drivers on this fleet are not used to being away from home for long, most get home nightly.
I gain another 9 and some change tonight and a few hours the next, Wednesday I gain 1.5 hours so if it plans out right I might be off Christmas eve and Christmas day, I just dont want them giving me a 34 and then I work 1 day and then off again for 2 for Christmas.

Got plans today for a trailer cutting at 1700 going to North Hollywood (dang i hate this store) then back to dc and a load cutting at 2100 delivering in East Palmdale by 0300.
Made it to the flying J tonight and got my shower and had dinner at Dennys, I am a happy camper. I love the chicken wraps off the $4 menu and I substitute fries for the chips, waitress gave me the best service I have had in a long time so I tipped her like 40% I calculated. I might come over here more often for food if I know she is working since she was that great, was extremely friendly too. Being from the food industry service is greatly important to me, bad service can be a killer for me returning no matter how good the food was.

The funny thing is the guy left behind 8 crash kit cameras. Between planning for that many accidents and the piss in the bunk, well it may have been a mentor pissing himself in the bunk.... :D :D :D

Frankly I was just hot to trot and just cleaned it out and went with it, the balance of the trucks available were mostly.... KW660's. Not touching another one of those. During the clean out I reopened scabs on my head from climbing in and out of the truck, had to stop and wipe off the blood.

All that being said I wonder what exactly Swift does in order to get a truck ready for the next driver? Do they even do ANY cleaning inside the cab? What is it they do in regards to mechanical? I checked the truck out just fine in the yard, but after getting up to freeway speed under load I find a vibration in the tires and it pulls hard to the right. This morning I've got check engine lights.

Looking at my route (close to the I-15 and I-70 interchange now) headed to Denver I don't see a lot of options for service. I'll need to monitor this baby and see if I can get into Green River to have them check it out, or maybe try and make it all the way to the TA just before Denver or into the Denver terminal. Here's hoping it holds together until I can make delivery in Longmont and get to the Denver terminal.

Sitting in Memphis. 800 miles from where I am supposed to be tomorrow: home. This is the end of five very long and frustrating weeks and I am nowhere near where I should be. This company is a joke. They can't even provide drivers with wifi or free to use washers and dryers? Roehl is a 1/10 of the size Swift is and they were able to give the drivers some basic amenities. Went to wash my clothes in the Richmond terminal a few weeks ago and put cash in the change machine. Got back those gold $1 coins. Thats helpful. Saw a sign in the terminal here saying that all company drivers are required to purchase the $80ish road ready kit? WTF? It'll be a cold day in hell before I give them any more of my money. I have a good tool kit and already paid for this lock we are required to buy so nope. Glad this place works for some of you but short of getting put on that dedicated account in the very near future they are going to find this truck parked at the closest terminal to me the day I get enough experience back to jump ship. Its not worth missing out on my family to drive this crap truck, pulling crap trailers, for crap miles and a DM that sends me a QC msg saying "CALL ME ASAP!!!" and then asks "What's up?" when I call him three minutes later. Sorry for the rant session but I am so burnt out on the silly **** here already.

Lebanon Junction, KY. All of 150 miles by noon tomorrow for my live unload. I hate these t-called loads. Paper rolls, sealed trailer. I have no idea how they are in there, if they are the 6' high ones or the 3-4' ones. I have a suggestion. Unless you are required to place the seal on prior to leaving the shipper when you know that you are t-calling, just leave the seal with the paperwork. then the next driver can look and see what it looks like and maybe secure it some if it makes them more comfortable.
