Thanks for the invite. Waiting on the roads to clear up some more here in Woodward.
Part of them closed this morning due to the icy highways.

 

Seeing how it's allmost Christmas and we all kinda keeps tabs on everybody one way or the other.
Has anybody seen/ heard from Fisherguy?
I knows sometimes he goes awol, but since his little got caught with pics deal, he hasn't posted.
Hope he's not spending Christmas in "county"

The sun is shining today and clear skies. One of the other guys called from OKC. He said the roads there are pretty much cleaned up.

Parked at the little dumpy cafe that used to be a trkstp. years ago.
Found out in Feb. it will be closing for good.. In April they will bulldoze it down and a Dominios trkstp will be put in here.
It is a dump, but the food is ok, the people working here are a trip. You sit in the smoking section and they say, ok I pour your fisrt cup for you. You need more there is the pot. Last person who mty's it, start a new pot.
Good biscuts and gravy though..

I got a couple of the same bridgestones a couple months back thru the national acct here at mercer, walking in the door, I asked what they were to compare prices , they were 745 each out the door with mounting included , I ended up paying 438.00 each mounted.

most tire shops tell ya there is little markup on tires, yeah right.

 

Too bad all of those types of places are going away in favor of the fast food joints. At least at those types of places you know the food is real, the coffee is fresh and the wait staff......well they're wait staff not cashiers.

 

Sometimes the food is horrible, sometimes better. It's a crap shoot at times.

 

I should be similar if SC has sales tax on them. They really jack the small dumb owner operators. There is no way in heck that I wouldn't have some kind of national account pricing like OOIDA's at least for those emergencies, even if I had a local tire guy. Not that I'd run one on the steer, but a recap would have been as much as I paid for a brand new tire!
