I didn't fix my truck for them,I fixed it for me.I've been pulling down a lot of OT lately and just didn't want to sit on the side of the road waiting for road service.............and no,my company never thanks me.
-
Paid by the hour, so it would be the same?
-
Not this place, but that's a whole thread by itself, so I'll leave it at that.
-
No ,time and a half after 10 hrs. I wound up with 15 hours overtime as it was. 15 hours x $7.50 = BIG MONEY !!!!!!
-
So, are you hourly paid to sit and wait on the repair truck and to work on the truck. Most drivers are not receiving any pay when brokedown.
-
Maybe so maybe not.But considering what they pay,how many drivers get ripped off or not reimbursed.I won't do any extra favors unless they pay me something.Companies really don't appreciate the extra favors drivers do.
-
A lot of places start paying after two hours (like detention) and if your paid by the load then it could be more money in your pocket instead of just waiting around. I am paid by the hour and will work on my truck if able.
-
If I got paid by the hr no matter how mechanically inclined I am,I would have sat and sat till brkdown got there, lol.Think how much money you saved your company, you deserve something for that.
Roadmedic Thanks this. -
