Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and am very excited to be here. I've been in the industry for about 8 years and finally decided to buy my own rig. I have sifted through and have done a lot of investigating on a large number of companies. I decided to go with Link America. They have a terminal here in Florida, so that works out well for me. My question is...does anyone have any info on this company for owner operators? They sound very good for my needs, but as everyone knows, recruiters will say anything to get you to go with them. Anything at all would be very helpful. Thank you!
Owner operator going to LinkAmerica, any thoughts?

I guess no reports on them might be a good thing. That's what I'm hoping the case is.

Are you planning to lease to them but still buy your rig on your own or do a lease to purchase with them?
If you're looking into lease to purchase, I'd definitely try to get some opinions... maybe it was so busy the first time you posted it went off the page fast? Hopefully more can give you some advice here. I know lease to purchase is a slippery slope and you have to be very careful.
Best of luck to you!!!! -
Thank you for the reply. I have my own truck and will be leasing on with them. From all the research I've done, I've come to the conclusion that they may be a good fit for me. I'm very anxious to get out there with them and will be going sometime next week. Hopefully everything will work out well....only time will tell though.

Well I heard many good things about Landstar, knew someone that worked there lost his license for DUI. He never complained about them. I know that they had gotten sued big time for bad contracts with the O/O recently settled. You might want to look it up.

I have looked and found no connection between the two. I will ask and find out. I'll give you an update as soon as I can.

How does one lease out to a company if you own the truck?
Wouldn't that be contracting out? -
they are not linked (no pun intended)..
landstar is owned by United van lines - UNICORP I believe is the parent company...
no Unigroupinc...
