Maverick Vs Roehl Vs TMC

I think Medicineman wanted Mav to do the car rental, since he has said he doesn't have credit cards. I know Mav will allow you the cost of a bus ticket towards a rental car, but that's not MM was looking for, I believe.

 

Maverick sid I could rent a car and they'd pick me up at the dropoff location no problem. They would give e the price of the bus ticket if I rented a car.

My problem with renting a car is this. If you use a credit card they just charge you $200 when you pick up the car and they refund the extra back when you drop it off. A one way compact car was $100 real resonable I though esp since mav was gona give me $90 for the bus ticket I didn't use. But I don't use credit cards any more, I use a debit card only.
If you want to pay budget with a debit card they charge you $300 up front and refund the difference when you drop it off. A refund can take a week to get. I have just enough money to rent the car, pay for gas, pay my Mortgage and car payment. so I don't have enough for them to take a $300 deposit and my mortgage is already 15 dys late so I can't wait a week or so to get the refunded portion back.
Also if you use a debit card they run a credit check on you and you have to pass "minimum credit worthyness standards" Which I doubt I could o either.
Which is why I asked Maverick if they would rent it. they wouldn't and aid no companies would, which I know some will if there is no other viable options. I even said I'd pay for it if they would rent it but apparently they didn't ant me bad enough.
So I'm off to Arnold tomarrow instead. I would have hd to get the greyhound at 12:40 this morning and I just couldn't swing it. My wife would have taken me but I didn't want her driving that late with my son for 3 hours.
