Truck stop showers don't seem so bad

Most of them are clean enough. I have never seen one with a shower curtain, that would be gross. Most of them are open now. Always wear shower sandals, like others have said. we took in our laundry to wash clothes and couldn't do that, the laundry room was awful.

I didn't take pictures of the store, but it was filthy. Whole place is being run by teenagers, not one adult in sight. Young girl using a bucket and mop on the floor in store. Water was black mud, mop was black and she used it on the entire store floor, made it filthy everywhere she ran that mop. And she didn't notice this?

It it was surreal, I thought we were in the twilight zone while over there. The dirtiest, strangest place I have ever happened into.freaky.

 

This doesn't sound so terrible...where are these showers you speak of, I'll just stick to those TS.

 

It's difficult to capture the grossness factor in pictures. I once took pictures of the grossest buffet that my wife and I ever ate and the pictures of the congealed gravy actually looked pretty good.

 

I could care less what Murphy says and I really don't care if the water is ice cold, its not the cleanest, or what. When I've got cow #### all over me my ### is taking a shower. I don't care if they want $10 to grab a garden hose behind the truck stop to clean up I just want my shower at those points in time.

 

Regardless if it is legal or not, I personally don't want to see this in a truck stop EVER.
I do respect people's choices, and who am I to say anything. But, let's be honest, TRUCK STOP SHOWER, that's not a place for that kinda intimacy.

 

I wonder how you would possible ever see this in a truck stop shower. Most are private with doors.

The flip flops are a must. I got the nastiest case of athletes foot from a truckstop shower back in the 80's. Really bad, nasty painful for about 2 weeks til it finally cleared up. Never, ever again went in a public shower without flips on

 

Every time I think about how much my job might suck, on certain days, I think about the people that have to clean the showers

 

Hands down the nicest showers I've ever used are in the Little America truck stops, especially the one in Flagstaff, AZ. Nice marble, very clean, huge, with a shower and a tub big enough for two. When my wife came with me on the road I made sure to get routed through Flagstaff and trip planned to spend a night there. Almost a destination truck stop.
