Had I known it was that bad west of Fort Worth would have never got on road. Got parking space. Wb 20 closed for next 3days. 4th day us84 was still black ice according to tx dot and Lubbock had freezing fog and zero vis. So why chance it I am safe and next day will be warm.

Lot of places in DALLAS were closed as a result of the storm I had 2 trucks sitting as they could not deliver to closed warehouses or pickup at for return load

I was in Brownville west of Ft. Worth. My p/u the day of the storm (Friday) decided to close until Monday. I got another load out of San Angelo, and took US64 westbound. It was iced over shoulder to shoulder, but it wasn't glaze ice... it was that knobby rime ice that has enough roughness to give you some traction. Still, it was 30 to 35 mph all the way.

I wouldn't blame anyone for shutting down until the roads were better. Only one on the road for much of that little trip was moi.
