    Hey everybody,

I own a 2010 Volvo D13 with ishift 1.200.000 km. Im pulling LCV sets or also called A-Trains.

When starting to drive i noticed that sometimes my Ishift revs to 1700rpm before it shifts which is not normal.

It does that till about 5th gear then it shifts fine

Anybody have the same issue or knows a way to fix this?

    Any input is appreciated

How long have you been driving that truck?
Did it have that behaviour before? With you as the driver?
How long since you updated the software?

I have the Premium Shifter. I always have it in Economy mode. Performance mode seems to be worse. I have the truck for a year now. It used to shift really nice. This stsrted about h.f a year and thats when i brought it in for a software update. Same behaviour with the new software. Every now and then i drive my dads 2012 d13 ishift. Its a day and night difference.

Maybe Pablo can help you more but my guess is the throttle pedal.
Like you are pushing it to deep.
Throttle is a variable resistor basicly.

If I'd be pushing it to deep then i would have the same problem driving my dads truck.
Thanks for your input much appreciated.

Is performance different? Is fuel economy worse?

I always said that large car owners with caterpillar engines must really be proud of their trucks because they're always stopped on the side of the road with their hoods open showing off that pretty yellow motor.....

Is your 2010 an SCR emissions engine?

Hey, hey hey... watch it PackRat! Mean ol' Cats do scratch... and bite! :biggrin_25525:
Besides,, the fact that you see all yellow shows they don't leak oil. ;)

    To Sash91 (OP),
Judging from your symptom, I would first concentrate on the throttle position sensor to make sure it's output readings are within the specs.
It also has a detent position in the extreme full throttle position, which sends signal to drop a gear. Possible that may be flakey also.
I'm no expert by any means on the I-shift, but do know some of the very basics of operation.
My only question to you would be... does the power seem to "disengage" momentarily and "free wheel" up to 1700 rpm before the shift OR does it just "linger" engaged up to 1700 rpm before the shift?
