Leaving the bus.. Again..."..............maybe!
Well got a call yesterday from a friend that used to work for me in my nuclear days and he is on a decommissioning gig up in the north. Ask me if I was interested in coming up to work for him this time. 150 a day per diem for 7 days lodging 71 extra for everyday worked for eating. 44 hour plus time and half for anything over 40 hours worked. Last for minimum year. Had a phone interview today Suppose to get a call tomorrow or Thursday to let me know if I got the job. May just have to take it Oh year 5000 signing bonus payable after 30 days.

 

A nuclear facility. When I got out of trucking the first time I got a pm degree and went into nuclear fuels. I will be going up there (hopefully) to start moving all the spent fuel into containers for long term storage. Emptying all the fuel pools out then taking the core barrel out and dismantling it. I burnt out on it a few years ago went back to driving but can't really pass this deal up. It's for a year or so.
