I worked for NFI on a dedicated pop can run in Columbus oh in the mid 90's. I was hired to run from Col Oh to Detroit and back everyday, hauling pepsi cans to the plant in Detroit on a rollerbed 53' trl. Each load paid $140. The average day was about 9 1/2 hrs. After 4 months they came out and said we can't pay you $140 anymore, now we can only pay $125. Two months later it was, now we can only pay you $110. So I said see ya later. They get you hooked with a decent paying job and then start chipping away at it untill there is nothing left.

if you look hard enough you can find bad points about any company out there, I am employed by nfi since november of last year on a small account in huntington west virginia hauling for csx, is it the perfect acct? no. but is there such a thing. we have good weeks we have bad weeks but that is how trucking is. my driver manager mike is a good guy, the manager in columbus dan is a good man, for the past week I have been off due to a medical condition and the only thing that was asked of me was to keep them up to date as to my situation, if I have ever had a payroll problem it was taken care of on my next check, I have not had any problems getting home when I wanted to be and any time I was asked to do a little extra I was rewarded for that. after reading alot of post's on here I myself would like to hear the other side of the story. just because one person had a bad experience doesn't mean that everyone else will, we all know the world is full of people who take no accountablity for their own actions, it's always someone else's fault.

I realize this reply was from a while ago but I’d like to talk to someone about something that happened in the early eighties. A trucker who worked for them lived in Lawnside and I became friendly with him. He would remember what happened. If you could possibly contact me I would appreciate it. [email protected]. Thanks
