You did that as opposed to a Petro or TA Christmas buffet?

Never had time to stop/or we were never near a TA or Petro at meal time.

    Merry Christmas to all buzzards...

As for the ONE year I spent christmas on the road, I made sure I got a full meal, just happened to be at a Sapp Bros.

Two times, I was under load, a pepsi load to Worland WY, and Butte MT, but always got to spend from 3 to 5 days at home.

And the other two, I got home before christmas, and returned after new years... planned for and budgeted for.

No load is worth a subway turkey sandwich, stop and get a good meal, and talk with the few other drivers that took the time to stop. Makes for a much better holiday.

Merry Christmas Buzzards, Former, Current, and Future!

I have been preparing my Christmas dinner the past couple of days. Cooked a Turkey Breast Tenderloin with Rice two days ago, Ham and Apricots last night, so when I stop to his afternoon, it is just the Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes and corn, heat everything up and BAM! Dinner is served!

I never let a thing like being on the road get in the way of a holiday feast!

    Well, well.
An itinerant and slovenly old trucker stuck his head thru the drivers' window last night and greeted me with the standard, "Hey baldie!"
Seeing how he was on the yard (unexpectedly) I invited him home with me after work to spend Christmas at my house.
So after being done, we headed home where he went to the guest room and I found my bed.
Did I fail to mention I had not told my wife?
So figuring I was getting up early to get dinner started, I went to sleep.
Somewhere in the mid morning I was awakened by a shriek.
I came wandering out to find my wife hugging this good for nothing.
I didn't realize they hadn't seen each other in quite a while.
Of course she was estatic and we spent the morning catching up.
Our younger daughter called and spent all the time speaking with uncle Max. I never did get a chance to say hello.
So the roast is in the oven, the pies are baked and now it's just enjoying adult beverages together while we wait.
Merry Christmas to you all from all of us.

Well it has been quite some time since ive had an opportunity to post in here. I made it home for Christmas and am going to be coming back out the 30th or 31st. Got me a brand new T680 Friday took all day to move my stuff from one truck to the other. I felt kind of bad like I was abandoning an old friend moving out of my 700 but she was getting very sick with exhaust gas pressure warnings and sneezing going down the road. Left out Saturday morning and got to Memphis texas and POP......I have a beautiful rock star in the passenger side of the windshield. Anyway was a great Christmas at home, got me some sirrius to install today and figure out how in the hell to route the antenna wire so its not all exposed and ugly looking. I am OCD when it comes to that stuff lol. Debating on the extra antenna or just go with the stock for now. Anyway my fellow buzzards, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. May it find adventure and prosperous profits.
