How many small fleet owners do we have on here? Do you want your own sub-forum?

I would guess that if you are just a one truck O/O there is a LOT of other things that come into play as soon as you start multiplying trucks, believe me, if I could have cloned myself years ago, I could have easily retired AND still have a of my hair! lol

I'd like to see something like a "semi private". Planning on turning this one horse show into something larger in the near future-always learn from someone that's doing it and has been: much easier path.

Would be great to have a separate subform for Small fleet anyone with 3 or more trucks,,running there own authority and own contracts,,,can discuss about dispatching software,,accounting software's and how to hire first employee for billing/dispatching advice's. there's alot of small companies that are looking for this kind of help especially companies with 5-10 trucks. Some topics can include hiring quality drivers and good owner operators for small companies. Discuss pay methods.

I don't consider us (my son and I) fleet owners, with only 3 trucks and 4 trailers. All advice is appreciated none the less. I thought public as in thinking it may be nice to have a neutral drivers position on some issues. After thinking about it that may be more work on the mods.

These two sum it up for me.
There are also too many variances IMHO, to make just one forum.
I dare say that some guy that has 10 trucks leased on with a mega carrier, is far from the guy that has 10 trucks of his own, running his own freight.
One goes out and finds work to keep his people busy, the other maybe answers the fone when one of his drivers doesn't like the load that a load planner/computer spat out for him.
Be a shame to make it private though, as the people in here that want to expand wont have access to everything they did before. I know of one or two in the flatbed forum, running their own numbers and freight, that either are about to, or already have, brought on more trucks.
I wont take the poll and bias the numbers, just doesn't seem like something that is needed in my book. More so when you consider that someone with 10 lease trucks from Swift, has 10 drivers in them at Swift. And the next person has built his business up over time, using his own contacts, dispatches his own trucks, and so on. Both are running totally different business' but would be classed as the same "small fleet" in your eyes.
