    1. Downshift before hill

    2. Swap for ISX Cummins

    3. Haul lighter freight

take to Cat distributor, ask for diagnostics help and maybe dyno report.

Naturally I assume you have checked air and fuel filters. What is the fuel pressure when in a pull it should be 75 to 90 at all times. on bottom rear of filter base is relief check valve these are known for trouble and low fuel pressure. Not saying replace it maybe just look at it. What is fuel restriction should be no more than 10in hg but 4 to 6 is more my liking. If it is 0 then its sucking air. Don't over look even the smallest leak in the CAC just cause its building boost on the gauge doesn't mean its good to go. With what little info you have given this should be a good start

He wants to get to the top of the hill, not have to stop half way up it, turn around, and find another way up it. I like the bankrupt comment as well. They say yellow paint is expensive but that red paint sure takes a lot of green to fix.

It would be cheaper to simply paint the valve covers red ;)

No No No, get a detroit, Cheap and powerfull.

In all seriousness, is this problem new? If so when did it start? Check air and fuel filters. What kind of weight are we talking up what kind of hills. Is your turbo providing correct boost?

Mine did that in big hills - went to Cat engine dealer and inline pump was bad and was updated with a longer spring for like 125# pressure. Acted normal on level and smaller hills.

339-4983 stiffer spring kit. You can just get the new plug and screw it in. Do you mean the gear pump, aka supply, aka lift pump?
