Well first off MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone...

This week started off kinda goofy with the weather that rolled into the western panhandle of Ok..
So I lost most of Sat. afternoon and then all day. Sunday.
So Monday the day starts out with the sun shining and the birds were singing. Yea Ha, lets get to Okc. and del. this ld. finally..
Ok got rolling and made fairly good time into the customers place.
Was waiting for traffic so I could make my left turn into the customers lot. Escort figured out, Gee maybe I should stop the traffic. You think?

So I start my turn and kinda over shot it, ok back up a little and I hear a loud "POP"
    I'm like huh?
Then start the turn and another load "POP"
Pulling in the drive way and the trl. is bottoming out. Never had it happen here before..
Then I hear an air leak back feeding in the dash. I stop in the drive way off the road way and walk back to the end of the trl. Well she was rooster tailed bad.. SHC, Haulhand or Leftlane insert pic. if you guys still have it.
I can't get mine to ld. into the site..

Well the freaking trl. broke both main beams right at the riser at the rear of the main deck..
So here I sit blocking the drive.
We were able to off ld. it by taking the neck off and using the bed trk. to winch it off the trl.
Good thing is nobody got hurt and the ld. is ok..
Could of been worse if it happened out on the highway.
So here it is my first trip with this new company and their trl. breaks on me..
So now I have to wait untill Thurs. and see where there is a trl. at for me.
Bad thing is I have 4 lds. lined up and I need another stretch..
Well I ended the year with a "Bang" so to speak..

    milskired Thanks this.

    Thanks Martin..
We ended up lding the trl. on a landall late Monday and I will meet them at the trl. shop Thurs.
Then get with the company about where there is a trl. Then have to come to OKC. and get all my blocking and tarps off the broke one. Fun fun..

Weird thing was the trl. closed up easy. Just had the forklift pick up the inner rails a little and she closed right up.
    Still rooster tailed though.

Well when I called in to the office that I was hauling for I said I got good news and bad news.
Good news is, I'm at the customers now. Bad news the trl. broke. Yea right. No it broke..
I then called my main dispatcher and told him the same thing. He's like what do you mean the trl. broke?
I said it's frame broke.. No panic in his voice. He said ok I'll switch you to the shop and talk with them.
They asked how heavy was the ld. 72k I said on a 40ton trl. I was not overloaded. I had it blocked up on the front end and back end.No weight in the middle of the trl. and I had it chained up in the middle so my beams were level and the center not dragging or in a neg. bow..
So far nobody has been yelling or screaming about me doing something wrong.

I feel for you and would not want to be in your shoes. But since its Xmas and Im in the giving spirit, Im going to help you out.
My FLD has a beautiful plastic bumper and you can drill, bungee or hammer the sign on to it. Not only is this bumper light weight, its extremely flexible as well.
Well my friend just for today, Im willing to trade you trucks and I will make your burden mine. Thats right, you will no longer have to worry about your o.size sign.. Im sure Ill figure something out w. your truck . :biggrin_255:
