Getting a Class A License

    Ridgeline hit the old nail on the head--I think there is a misconception among my fellow ClassA drivers concerning construction trucks hauling trailers.When you see a tandem dump truck hauling a backhoe on a pintle hook trailer that driver better have a Class A in their wallet! A Case 580 4x4 Extendahoe weighs around 16K--you better have a trailer with a minimum 20K GVWR which requires a ClassA.
    The IBEW powerline local had an ad on Craigslist of all places this fall looking for applicants for apprenticeships and one of the requirements was a ClassA!

    Yes shadow capitan, I never saw the Craigslist post but no matter what having a class A is a requirement and just wanted to see what info or even hands on experience I could get from experienced drivers. Ill look for the weekend courses that were mentioned earlier
