I don't have any dealings other than I called and the price was out of this world. It was a couple of years ago so maybe there in line now or maybe the price went even higher LOL

Well maybe it's just as well and stick with Fitzgerald for them. I read so many different things on here about the 60 Series and the N-14 plus cat and still so dam undecided. It's not about speed with me there is a speed limit. I like having the power when I need it but like MPG also.

I would be looking for someone close to me, so if there are any problems I do not have to go to Tn. to get it straightened out. If you are near Fitzgeralds then stick with them. Otherwise post where you are located so people can recommend someone in your area. I do not believe you are going to find some swinging deal. There is too much demand for gliders. Seems to me Detroit gets about the best fuel economy and last forever. There are people around that can make them run also. In my opinion PP is overpriced especially on their gliders. I'd go with what I have experience with and stick with it. I owned a new N-14 and several new 6NZ's. The Cat's out pulled N-14 hands down. N-14 was Cummins set @ 525HP: Cats @ 550HP all dead stock. Did not pay much attention to fuel economy back then because fuel was cheaper.

What was the price difference between doing MicroBlue and not? It has been a while since looking at the price but just bearings seemed high for something that has ZERO blind testing. If it was just a little extra then no big deal.

I am getting ready to MicroBlue everything that moves in my motor (except for crank and cam since they are to large for MicroBlue's machines) and Craig quoted me a starting price of about $1,500+. A lot depends on what a person sends. One person would just send bearings and pistons whereas I am sending valvetrain, timing gears, bearings, pistons, rings, liners, wrist pins, and all the other little bearings/parts that move.

Let me add that my motor is being built by a very trusted machine shop that builds professional sled pulling engines. He has proof of MicroBlue gaining 50HP on a inline Bosch injection pump. That much gain on just a injection pump is huge and very impressive.

What about the longevity of the MicroBlue coating?

I have heard that on tear-down of the Pittsburgh Power ceramic & Teflon coated pistons none of that material remained.

Have any blind studies been done on MicroBlued components?
