this is a friend i went through training with and dont want her to go to swift from the drivers i have talked to heard both good and bad but even those with good to say had bad as well.

Well there are a couple of things she should consider and do first.
First thing is did Schneider train her? If so, then she needs to try and stick it out for the sake of her contract with the schooling and costs. Because Schneider will stick it to her the moment she leaves, probably including putting the schooling as a bill on her credit report and also making a huge negative entry in her DAC.
If she trained someplace else and went to Schneider (ie she doesn't owe them the money for training) then the first thing she needs to do is just apply to those companies which she is interested and see if any bite.
Two preventables in three months right out of school isn't all that uncommon, but with the state of the industry at the moment her options may be limited.
But this information is really only if she is determined to leave Schneider.
In and of themselves Schneider isn't really all that bad of a company, they are probably one of the better big companies overall in my opinion.
If she's having problems with her dispatcher she needs to try and get another one. Her DM should be able to help her with that. She just needs to plead her case calmly and logicly and not loose her cool. -
well she did get sni training and she has talked to her dm and was told tough luck. also her husband had been going through sni training got to the end of training and needed a little more practice and blew his knee out so they sent him home till he got better. they are looking to go team ill be talking to her sunday after noon with the responses she is also very determined to leave schneider and has only looked at swift which i think she would come to regret. she lives in the kc mo area and want to point her at a couple of other companies

It is simple as changing dispatchers.. They used to call the STL's (Service team leader) when I was there..
Schnieder has many avenues drivers can take to resolve an issue.. Two options here..
1. She can talk to the lead (dispatchers boss, thats what they was called dunno if they still call them that) This route you will have to explain yourself and they will talk to the dispatcher blah blah blah.. Dispatchers get dinged if they lose a driver .. Office people usually have each others back so this would be a slower option..
2. Call safety and tell them that you want a new dispatcher.. Claim you do not get along with them that well and you think it is presenting a safety concern.. The safety concern being you are constantly upset thinking about the dispatchers negativity when you should be focused on driving..
Safety will have you a new dispatcher later that day... -
Oh by the way Swift is not going to be any better the Schneider.. She just needs to find a dispatcher that works well with her..

that i know but the grass is always greener on the other side at least till you get there then see swift spray painted the grass. ill let her know about going through saftey

I think the thing you need to impress upon her more than anything is that 18 month contract she has because they provided her training.
If she leaves before she's fulfilled it Schneider will stick it to her and stick it hard. They are notorious for it. -
That lady needs to stay where she is. It won't be any better at SwiftQuit. It'll probably be worse, as she has put herself over a barrel with those two accidents. What were these accidents? I wonder if those were in-house? If they were in-house, that may be a positive. I remember Swifty would bust people for curbing rims and call it an accident, especially the new guys. They'd do whatever it took to keep Grade-A drivers (clean-cut drivers with stable work histories and no class-D tickets) onboard, including sinking to dirty trickery. Maybe that is what's going on here. No matter. She needs to stay put.

Wow......2 preventable accidents in three months? Maybe this gig isnt for her? I know I would not want to be sleeping with someone with 2 accidents in three months driving.
Sorry just my .02

Maybe so. That is a lot for three months.
But then again, we don't know the nature of the incidents. At some outfits, if you fart too loudly in a terminal, they'll bust you with a chargeable. Yeah, they'll put minor things on your DAC to make you look less attractive to another employer so you can't go anywhere else to work. These incidents are usually in-house and very minor. I call 'em DACcidents.
