Hello fellow Roehl driver's! I've been on phase 3 about a month now and it's going great. I'm coming up on 10k solo miles in my truck. I'm down in Georgia I-85 X129 at the pilot. Drop and hook at the Walmart DC in the morning in Monroe. Hopefully I get a load going towards home after this. I decided to stay out during Christmas. I live in Mt airy NC. Anyone been getting more red lights at scales lately? I got it at both scales in Virginia and of course NC doesn't have prepass. Still did 576 miles today!

VA red light pretty often, and GA, I don't even know why they have prepass. Never seem to use it.

I did get a green light at the scale in GA but it was closed go figure lol. Does anyone pay for the wandering wifi they have at these truck stops? Wondering if it's worth the 20 bucks a month.

Got a crash course in changing a fuel filter today. Yes I was taught at school, but that was on a older truck and didn't have the plastic shell over it with a bunch of lines coming out like mine does. I would have never got it off if I wasn't able to borrow a filter wrench from the local shop. After completing that task, I had to sit around over an hour as my truck decided it needed a regen. Hopefully ready to launch without problems on Sunday.

I tried it once. Didn't work so great for me. Signal kept dropping and tech support was worthless. Fortunately I used points so it wasn't much of a loss. But I surely won't pay hard earned cash based on that experience. That was at the Flying J right outside Houston.

Get the Verizon jetpack. I've only had one spot in 7 months that didn't get a solid signal, and that was between two mountains.

Yeah. What Scott72 said. My ipad is on verizon and I've never had a problem getting a signal. I just try to hook up to wifi when I can to save data usage.

I bought a one year subscription once. I know I've thrown away a hundred dollars on worse things in my life, but I just can't remember what. I think it's the biggest rip off at the truck stops.
