This thread, unfortunately, has become an "ex-employee thread", lol. I have no real regrets, Millis was my first truck driving job and I made excellent money working for them and training new students. I chose an LTL local job that gets me home every day and weekends. I found the same (if not more money) and no cost health insurance so I'm extremely fortunate. For otr driving, I would still highly recommend Millis to anybody and for anyone starting out needing a cdl, etc.., I would rank Millis as one of the better companies to begin a truck driving career.

There is an abandoned Walmart parking lot that several truckers are using now. Would that work?

got another question for any mills school graduate. they take 20 a week out to pay for the cost of schooling but if you work for them for a year do they give what you have paid them the first year back or just drop the rest you owe. how does that all work????
-
ok, I tried to search first, but there is 384 pages
have not drove in 20 years
millis? e-log or paper? Qualcomm? any other type of gps? or do you got to buy?
I never drove commercial with a gps & only paper logs
thanks -
I parked at a Pilot 3/4 of a mile from my house...up to two weeks at a time if needed for vacation. Checked it daily and let fuel desk know...this Pilot had a lot of regulars parking there so we never worried. $20 is deducted from your paycheck for 2 years...it is that simple.

E-log and Qualcomm...I think they are transitioning to forced routing with GPS...could be wrong.munson Thanks this.

in my agreement it states that after a year of employment the tuition is forfeited by them. whats the deal with that

I dunno TURBO AL....I think everyone got to the point your at and had the same question. I can for sure...100% Truth...No BS...tell you that they will take $20 a week for 2 years.

The total cost for your school is $5, 000.00. It is split among two different "sections". Classroom and OTR OJT...15k miles. For class room you pay $500 up front and finance $2,000.00 at $20 a week for almost 2 years. OTR OJT is also $2, 500 and is forgiven after 1 year.

1. That upon execution of this Agreement the Second Party enrolls and participates in the First
Partys on the job training program.
2. That the charge to the Second Party for participating in said driving program shall be the sum of $2500.00.
3. That after Second Party completes one (1) year of employment, the tuition will be forfeited by First Party. THAT IS ALL THATS STATED IN MY AGREEMENT WITH THEM. IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT A SEPERATE 2500 SO IS WHAT YOU ARE SAYING RIGHT OR WRONG ..
