Been paying for my own insurance for years...but not as a trucker. It's been going up every year. $250 a mo. 8 years ago, 450 a mo. this year. Signed up for ACA and it went down to $259 a mo. for next year. $20 copay.... Thanks Obama!!

I have insurance for myself and both kids. $53 a week!

I work for a mega. They offer pretty solid insurance. I don't need it because I'm on my wife's, but for around $450/month, I could have their best plan with a small deductible, and that's family.

Curious
as to how many of these policies
are compliant with Big Brothers requirements ??

Yea its not a bad deal. Co-pays are low as well.

I have it for myself and the wife, almost $600 month with a $5000 deductible per person.
The company will reimburse costs above $2000 per person spent on the deductible up to $3000 to meet the $5K
I hate spending that much but we are both in out late 50's and have a big mortgage on a new home so it's a necessary evil the way I see it. -
Mine is, seems to be seamless so far. Even thou the policy is a good one the price sucks.... But being a group of one... Bla bla bla.123456 Thanks this. -

Just an FYI
If you are blaming BCBS for the increase in rates since 2010, it is not their fault, they are covering the up and coming taxes and fees that they will have to pay in 2014 and 2015.
On top of that, there is talk of a complete elmination of individuals being covered by a spouses insurance as early as second quarter 2014, this would mean that those who have their plans and are happy with the care, will have to go and get their own even if they have a family plan.
