I'll have to check them out!
I have no no idea what "good prices" are, I'd much rather see what I'm buying in person.

Prices seem to be about what everyone else is selling stuff for. Which is about half what the truck stops get of course.
-
I've already started looking at their site, their steel tarps coughs my eye.
i can't stand throwing my lumber tarps on a 3' high load, or over a coil or 2.
thank you!MJ1657 Thanks this. -
US Cargo Control has good prices too. You can get some stuff like tarps and straps cheaper if you get the ones with their brand on them. Also the best price I have found on 4' portable ratchets.
-
Those 4" portables are handy, i got two a while back and use the heck out of them.
-
The portables are handy but leaves no room for any extra length in the strap. I have 4 and like them but wish I could figure a better way to contain the extra part of the strap when using them.

Since my wagon ALONE weighs 13,500#'s......I havbe to watch what I carry. (My trailer is an all steel air ride slider)
You wimps that have spread axle half-breeds or all aluminum are livin' life good!
I tell the Borkers all the time....That 48,000#'s is nOT happening They dont like it but TOUGH. Cant scale it.
I move UP TO 45k..Nothing more EVER!..... Lumber houses are made aware of this as soon as I arrive.
So..I carry this- 3, 20x16 steel tarps 2, 24x24 lumber tarps 8' drops
15 4" straps, NO 2' straps 8, 3/8 x 20' chains and binders ,plenty of moving pads to protect tarps, 16- 24" v-boards, Rubber edge protectors, A smoke tarp 8x12'
4 pieces of 6' hardwood for coils(beveled) plenty of racks.
I cannot carry much else because of weight...... I weigh 33.300# with half-tanks My setup is a 1987 pete 362 and a 1996 utility all steel flat (very heavy) -
Flightline, if you pass the strap thru the portable and leave the extra in the back of the portable. then start to tighten the strap slightly, and then take your un-needed section and roll it up in about 2 foot folds. Now tuck the one end under the portable between it and the rub rail. Leave enough slack to allow the portable to be completely tightened, and this will trap all the excess neatly. The more excess you have the bigger your fold will be, if it is to thick it doesn't work well. I try to use short straps in those situations.
I couldn't find a pic, that's surprising! Good luck!Flightline Thanks this. -
I have done similar, just not quite not to that extent. I just don't carry short straps, but maybe I should. If I could only figure a way to store my straps better than a 3' box on the side of my trailer.
-
yeah, I feel your pain. The latest setup our company went to has lots more storage due to the new header rack. When I get passed a bad strap it gets shortened right off and then get new ones on the next trip thru the shop. I'm thinking you could find more discussion on here about that than most topics.
