1 in 7? If that's true for primes turnover rate good for them :biggrin_25519: ( prime was never on my radar, so I can't say negative comments )

Just curious, do these e-log thingy's have a password for each driver ? Why cant you just "Logout" if they do ?
Is this a case where you are being trained by an L/O ? probably a bad scenario right there -especially if he is going broke.

    Shaggy Thanks this.

whomever is the current logon is the driver when truck goes in motion....a trainer will know what's going on with the log. so what happens at prime when a trainer drives out of hours??? can prime edit at driver level?

No... the only people with access to the database are the log auditors. They answer only to the top level of management.

New students have an elog class, which they're told what their password is, and they're also told not to reveal that password to anyone. Especially a trainer. Wonder what happened here...

Log class. That's the only true part of your statement.

Well there are a lot of tricks you can do with elogs if you are experienced, driving on anothers log tho is one of those tricks you DO NOT DO... seems like the student in this case understood what was going on. Man if we did that at Roehl we wouldn't be a trainer any longer and most likely wouldn't be with Roehl much longer either. Why not just shut the truck down....nothing wrong with showing a new driver what happens when you're late....and have to wait.

I like the Prime paid OJT model in principle but in this industy I don't think it works really well practically. Thus why I never went and most likely why you see threads like this.

Yes I agree allowing him to program me into the qc and revealing my password is entirely my fault. But I did not expect him to drive on my hours. I was a little to trusting right then and I'm usually not that way. Lesson learned.
Anyways I think we are headed back to the terminal in pittston for the night and I will try to contact someone then.

Interesting that when I was in orientation I was told that Qualcomm (QC) training was a function of TNT and not PSD. Also interesting that the trainer is the one that puts the trainee onto the QC (Using the QC credentials and Password) when they get to the truck.......maybe orientation training is dropping the ball because I didn't start using the QC until I started TnT and the truth is I had enough going on just keeping the truck between the lines and not leaving gears lying on the on ramp to be overly interested in the squawking box always spitting out "Instructor Alerts" and the "IMPORTANT MESSAGE" warning over and over and over.........

Or maybe I'm now a criminal and don't even know it? Hope Not!

In my truck, logging on to the truck pc is not an issue, understanding who is driving and why is the bigger issue. If your trainer was actually driving on your hours because he was out that is no cool at all, huge safety issue. if he's gonna cheat there, maybe he'll grab some cash out of your wallet when you're sleeping....lol. In my opinion if this trainer did that he shouldn't be training...why ever in the world didn't he just let you drive?

I agree, if hes willing to jeopordize both of our careers then what else might he do when he thinks no one is looking? Idk I cant judge his character outside of the lack of his training ability. He does seem like a decent guy and keeps his truck spotless. I just need a trainer who teaches me properly and legally.
Dont get me wrong, in my opinion, however new I may be, I feel that this is an exception at Prime and not the standard. There will always be bad with the good. And overall my experience with Prime has been a positive one. The company does seem to care about its drivers.
So ill see where this leads in the mean time.
