I don't have an opinion on the piece of sticker, but as for having the tandems slid all the way forward, when I pulled an orange trailer with an orange freightshaker, In Michigan, the tandems had to fall between the 5th and 14th hole on the Wabash trailers to be legal. To far forward violated Michigan bridge laws.

And you would slide the tandems all the way back to get the maximum weight on the drives. That was my point, but it was lost to him.

Many times, our troubles with the law are self inflicted. Common sense goes a long way, but has to be taught at a young age.

I agree, and it might have been more helpful to remind of this before in a direct fashion and not offer a ######## remark instead.

Think before you post. If the mouth (or fingers) are in overdrive and the brain is in neutral, nothing good will come out. The world judges us by how we act a what we say.

Drivers are not required to keep logs beyond the previous seven days (as you correctly noted in the rest of your post). Only carriers are required to keep logs for six months.

i noticed the other day on one of the mega carriers trailers at the rear a big sticker listing all the states that had to have the tandems at a certain spot for that state with corresponding marks along the edge of the trailer indicating the hole for that state.

Yep he's leased based on what is said on the full article on landline. However if he had his own authority he's required to keep his previous 7 plus the current day's log, with him, and the previous 6 months at his home office.
