Hell they made me knock dirt out of a backhoe bucket at the one on the 15s entering CA once... Can't be polluting the dirt in the "peoples republic" with that Nevada dirt you know.

    x1Heavy and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I've seen 'em stop and require trucks to open up that don't have anything to do with agricultural products. Yep, you got lucky.

Even chemical tankers get pulled in every once in awhile. If they're open and you don't get a green on the prepass you'd best be advised to pull in, lest they call one of their DOT or FHP brothers to get after you. I did hear that FHP and State DOT have been combined into one agency (many of the vehicles still have different markings). Oh, and guess what's usually located within a few miles of each Ag inspection station.....a weigh station, especially near state lines!

If you have the PrePass and get the green light keep on trucking in Florida however in California you will have to stop regardless

I actually had one ask me what I was hauling. I stopped and looked in my mirror then at him. He finally looked out his side window and realized why I was confused. I was deadheading with a 48' flat. We both got a chuckle out of it.

ChevyCam, D.Tibbitt, Cetane+ and 3 others Thank this.

Hauled equipment into Cali also and rolled into one, the Ol' boy started to walk out then looked up to see it was all new stuff and turned to wave me on. What a relief that was, I was late enough as it was.

And the signs says "ALL" trucks!

Yes sir, it is best to pull on in there...you did get lucky. I have seen them come across there and go after trucks that blew the ag coup. Certainly not worth it.

I like to see their expressions when my 2 Rat Terriers jump in my lap and start barking at 'em so loud it's impossible to communicate... it's rare to see one smile.
