Just make sure once you get a trainer if he or she puts you in an unsafe position let millis know. Trainers are here to teaxh you not to just use you as a cash cow.
Make sure u bring cash also to get you by for a week or two. Not the trainers job to feed you. I have had students tell me that and also I was suppose t9 provide bedding for them.TURBO AL Thanks this. -
Hope everybody has a Happy New Year!!!

Good morning everyone!! Just dropping back in to check on everyone!! Been with new carrier as an Owner Op for just over 4 months now and loving it! Getting my miles and seeing the family a lot more than when I was OTR with Millis. Freight is very steady over here! I'm run on a Home Depot account out of Whitestown, IN. delivering to all the Home Depot stores... Light loads which is very good since I'm paying for my own fuel now!! I now have load planners along with a dispatcher so I have not sat waiting for a load yet. They do a pretty good job of staying a day or so ahead of me and keep my updated on what the next load will be. Not regretting my time with Millis by any means but I have truly found that greener pasture of grass!! Well guys, until next time..... Y'all take care and be safe out there!!!

Sitting in wonderful Cheyenne Wy at the finest accommodations that not my money so I don't care how much the hotel is will pay for. Rear-end went out as I was going down the mountain into Laramie, $830 tow bill later truck is in the shop to figure out what needs replaced. Was going down the mountain with jake on and a loud whine started, dropped a gear down to 8th and heard a bang then lost all power to the wheels, this is why you don't go flying down mountains, you never know when something is going to go or what is around the curve.

After much thought and consideration my journey with Millis will be coming to an end on Feb 8th 2014. I've put my 2 week notice in. I have been offered and accepted a local driving job that is going to allow me to be home with my family every night and off on weekends. I am leaving Millis on good terms and have been told if I change my mind I am always welcome back. For anyone out there who may read this the decision I made coming to Millis was one of the best I've made in my life. The experience and training I have recieved here have been top notch. EVERY THING Millis told me during the hiring process and during training held true. My pay was on time and correct every week. I personally have never once missed a home time and there were a couple occasions where I had family matters to attend to and they always did everything they could to afford me the opportunity to tend to them. No employment is absolutely 100% perfect but for me Millis was about as close as you could get. I've met a few friends here at Millis and I wish each and every driver here the best and stay safe. I will be checking in from time to time and always be available to answer questions if needed.

Hello everyone. I have been approved to go to Millis for training as well as some other companies but Millis is at the top of my list. I live about 15 minutes from Harrisburg PA, and was just curious what kind of home time is realistic in this area? So far of all the recruiters I have spoken with Fay from Millis is by far the most genuine over the phone.
