I don't think they were referring to you, just the 2 posters that make $317k a year that each have 1 post and joined the same month.

I did drive for Henderson frm 11/2012 to 04/213 ttried to go back because all though they have their issues they treat their drivers much better then what I have experienced with Gordon trucking but because of miss comunicication with safety (bill beaty) I cant go back. is there another company much like Henderson out there?
-
lackey, Henderson defender whatever, not all of us signed up imeadiatly and complain . I with Gordon right now and it sucks big time, Henderson compaired with Gordon makes Henderson look like angels.. and yes Henderson has issues. so with your veteran posts and thankyou's well thankyou 4 nothing....to truckduo

I have several friends that lease. If you train or team drive, 317k is absolutely possible. Of course that is gross revenue, not net take home, but I know people that have made that. I am a company driver, and heck no, I don't make that. I don't do bad for a solo. And I don't work all that hard.
I have always said they have issues. My biggest problem is the the lack of communication in the office. Sitting all day for waiting for a load only to be finally dispatched on a load that is now late, because it was supposed to have been picked up hours ago.
That said, I know that they are a lot better than some of the big companies out there. At least they know who I am when I call, I am not a number, but a person.desperado75 Thanks this. -
Hello to any current Ht company/o/o Drivers! i worked there for 3 yrs i loved it very much. I'm asking these questions because i just call the call I'm cleared for rehire.I left due to family issues.
I heard they got a new yard is it nice? new building?,showers, break room, nice flat yard(no pot holes)Laundry facility's?are they still letting company driver's have the Cascadia's? or are they giving company solo driver's the old small tonka freightliner's?desperado75 Thanks this. -
I meant to reply to this a week ago, but could not access the site until today. Sorry about the delay. I have been at Henderson for 5 years and hope I can answer your questions for you.
I don't like the new yard at all, tiny drivers room, shower only accessible during regular business hours. No laundry, no easy access to dispatch like you used to. They have to buzz you in. They are a mile away from the nearest store or food, not safe to walk, but there are 3 company vehicles to go to them.
The trucks are newer, either Cascadias, Kenworth T-660. They are getting new Cascadias in now and I don't think any more KW's.
Left hand still doesn't know what the right hand is doing, but oh well, I am used to that.
A lot of the people from Salem have quit, just a handful are left. Mostly new and very young dispatchers, but I can't complain, mine is good with me.
Pay is still the same, running lanes have changed a bit, we now haul Hazmat.
Can't think of more for now, hope it helps.desperado75 Thanks this. -
Is gayle still dispatching?, at henderson. Bill b. safety director?. He use to be a recruiter. Terry b. use to be safety director but that was 15-20yrs ago. Gayle would run me till i couldn't run anymore 2 days from salem il to shaky one day unload reload and 2 days back to st louis to schnucks market go home and about 16,000 mi a month loved it!. But after 8-9 years i burned out. Jeez since josh kaburck took over it sounds like it went down hill?. Happy trails

He is still dispatching, Bill is still head of safety. Other than that, lots of new faces. I don't know anyone anymore.

I've met those types. Of course, I have also dealt with dispatchers that wanted EVERYTHING done via QualCom and then never answer the thing too...that forced me to call them. It's a lose, lose.Last edited: Dec 31, 2013
