Not bragging. Just trying to show others that they don't have to aim low and settle for little. I am no different than anyone else. I just did my homework. How is a person to know that there is something better out there if one doesn't post numbers?
-
I don't see it as bragging. The only reason you see it as bragging is cause your not making that kind of money. I'm not either but I'm glad someone is. People need to stop settling for below minimum wage when it comes to truck driving. Do a test. Add up every hour your actually working then divide that by what your paid. Not just what you log but how many hours you actually are working- loading, unloading, fueling, waiting for a dock, waiting for paperwork etc.
ask yourself this- if someone came up to you and said I want you to work for me I'll pay you $1000 a week but you have to work 70 hours a week no overtime and you can only go home on the weekends and you have to live outta your vehicle during the week. Would you? Cause that's what truck drivers do every single day. Many of them for way less money. It's saddening.10speed55, 074344, pathfinder1361 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah, that must be it. I work 4 days a week, about 46 hours. I'm home every day. I make enough. Could I make more? Yes, and I have. Money isn't everything. I want to like my job and I do. One thing I don't do on an open forum is discuss what I make.
-
It's too bad that you feel that way. If most drivers could get a feel for what others make, it just might steer them from a junk company. The only reason that one would not post income is the fact that they know the wages are less than stellar. Again, aiming low and settling for very little.TruckDuo Thanks this.

Ok, well I saw it as bragging for this reason...
You went into very specifics of your pay, even to the point of an exact dollar amount, including your double-overtime pay,
down to the penny ($587.18 for 11 hours of work).
What I didn't see is you provide any specific guidance or help (other than simply saying you're in a union company), in getting a newer driver to find such a lucrative position. I see you list 20 years experience. Is it even possible for a newer driver to make anywhere close to "on par" with you, or even loosely comparative?
We all know the vast majority of ALL trucking companies do underpay abysmally. I do appreciate your stance in letting drivers know they don't have to work for slave wages.chalupa, TruckDuo and KC Guardrail Thank this. -
It is everyones responcibility to help drivers avoind junk companies.
