Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Can't argue with that, except the winter time.
A little crowded with a population of 141 people...lol
Wow, what a beautiful place though, right on the river.xlsdraw and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
Southeast Tennessee is not bad. Not too hot in the summer, rarely snows in the winter. And like Chinatown said, no state income tax. And you're within 140 miles of Nashille, Knoxville, Atlanta, and Birmingham.
-
What does it matter?
I mean outside of the little tax issues you face, you are going to be more likely than not an interstate trucker.
Picking where to drive isn't one of these things most of us have a choice, the job has to be done and if that means working in the north, then the south and then out west, that's what it is all about. -
Im with the majority,SOUTH.Love the heat.North gets some real cold weather, blizzards, interstates shut down or you drive at a snails pace because roads are snow and ice covered which will affect the miles.Wisconsin also has bad cold winters.I take it this secret company will let you choose what lanes you prefer to run?

Go ahead
Live in Wisconsin
Wooooooo beltline! -
California is by far (geographically speaking) the best place on earth.
Economically and socially speaking, errr nope. Not even close.
So North Carolina or Tennessee then. A place that has mountains nearby but doesn't get insanely low temperatures while having the ocean within a few hours.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Pick a state that doesn't tax retirement and a safe place to live for you and your family. Bad weather can effect mile from time to time, but that's part of being a professional driver. Sounds like you want to be a local driver. Otherwise if your going otr you can tell the company where you want to run and they will try and work with you

Renegade Mountain
Crab Orchard
Crossville, TN
About halfway between Knoxville & Nashville. Crossville is a destination area for retirees because of low cost of living and reasonable housing prices. Truckstops on I-40 running through Crossville. Two nice nudist resorts there; Timberline Lodge and Cherokee Nudist Lodge w/pictures of the amenities on Google.
Also some nice gated communities and golf courses. -
i wouldn't move to texas. their speed limit is insane and so are the cars.
75 in consctruction zones. 65 on backroads that clearly shouldn't be above 55. and the cars. are a world on their own.
