It is so fun to be employed again. Back in California the first time since our son's college graduation in May. Truck is running great and other than the crazy wind, we are missing all the crappy weather to the North. Dropping in LA and heading to Houston. REALLY looking forward to rush hour this morning.

Wow is it nasty out here. 4 wheelers and trucks sliding all over the place. Arkansas is a complete mess. You would think a truck driver would know better than to tailgate. So many crappy drivers it amazes me.
The Challenger, RizenPhoenix, Bumper and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes it was a mess, Here in NW Arkansas We had 3" of sleet then 8" of snow on top of that from Thurs -Sat ..
Update Roads are now very good again... -
So, this is what it is like to work for a living. I kinda like it. Two whole weeks without anything breaking on the truck. Getting close to a personal record.
Lady K Thanks this. -
Check the bases of the bags for leaks.... soapy water solution, look for bubbles. Might have a bag leaking slowly. Slow leaks are the hardest cause they don't leak fast enough to make much noise, can be tough to find a leak like this....NoCoCraig and Panhandle flash Thank this.

What a great week. After running a bunch of UPS loads we took a couple of days off at home the grabbed a load heading to Los Angeles for Christmas. I made sure it was a solo load so we had extra time in the schedule so we could stop in Albuquerque NM for the weekend as my youngest son was playing in the New Mexico Bowl. Not only did we get to see an amazing game and Washington State lose to the Colorado State Rams, I also got to spend a lot of time with my son. First time in my life I have rushed the field after a game (as a fan, I did it a few times as a player) You should have seen Annes face when I handed her my stuff and screamed "I am going over the rail!" She of course calmly walked over one section and took the stairs. lol.
We then headed out Sunday mid-day and delivered in San Diego Monday morning. We are at her brothers for Christmas and having a blast. I could get used to 80 degree holidays. Just booked a load to Seattle on Thursday heading up to Seattle to have Christmas with my family this weekend.
It is a pretty darn good life.
Ruthless, Irishtrucker, bbigcnote and 6 others Thank this. -
San Diego in the winter is AWESOME!!! That's when I was in boot camp there. The only bad part is when it rains in the winter. IT FRAKIN RAINS and it usually gets cold till the next day. I would agree though, I love SD in the winter.

Well, Christmas is now half over. Awesome time with friends and family (Anne's) and now heading up to Seattle for Christmas with my family. We just may have to go to the Seahawk game on Sunday. This truckers life is so hard.

Rates out of LA this week are pretty awesome. $2.40 a mile dry van rate from Southern California to anywhere works for me but that is crazy talk to Seattle. I wish it was Christmas every week. -
Is f2f still leasing on trucks. Me n my dad run a team n need good team freight. Were w a great small company now n pick all loads off load boards just hard to find team runs. We like the small company atmosphere n like have the freedom with choosing our own loads. Just lookin for more team loads. N I would really like to get some info on them. Like % pay r com tractor age requirements trailer rental for van etc.

We pick our loads off of load boards also. Most are solo loads that I negotiate an early drop on. Not sure you would see an improvement there. You should contact f2f directly to talk specifics like % or rental rates. You should ask for Shelby.
