There are lots of SOLAR TRUCKERS out there you see them pulling in the TA around 5 pm when the sun goes down . Lol
i heard KR was putting the solar panels on his newest edition of the Signature Truck I think . And the concept is basically you can run a Heater / AC and possibly plug into your block heater via a inverter with the stored power from the Solar Strips

What a comedian.......except those are not truckers. They are remote controlled dispatcher controlled STEERING WHEEL HOLDERS and you can always tell the difference between a Truck Driver and a Steering Wheel Holder by the QUALCOMM unit on the back of the cab of the Steering Wheel Holder.

Got a good laugh outta that one!
How many amps per hour does your 8000BTU unit consume? -
My estimate is around 53 amps per hour on the hottest days which would be less at night and cooler days.

I am making a delivery tomorrow to this company, they apparently make battery components and tools. I was snooping around on their website to see if they had more than one location and noticed that they have a downloadable PDF file of their catalog. I tried to download it and evidently I have a setting wrong on my computer because I couldn't get it download, but in the description they mention that they have a solar powered battery charger, I thought about this thread and wanted to see what they had, if anyone has any luck getting this to download let me know.

Not gettin into the debate here--BUT--one question--how high is your cab and how high does that panel stick up?
Looks like a problem to me--but camera angles are deceiving----
