It's ok as long as other drivers have updated the entrance locations for customers - I use that and Google maps whenever I'm going somewhere new. Route wise, ehh... all depends on where you're going. Sometimes its good, other times I'll just ignore it.

I think it's fair. I'd give it a 7/10. I have had decent luck with it for the most part, but when it decides to screw you, you get screwed HARD.

Basically, while I wait for Jill to give me a route, I punch in the towns on Google maps, and decide which way I'd rather go. Sometimes, if Jill got drunk that morning, she will want to put you down every 2 lane four wheeler road she can (this time 4 wheeler means ATV!), yet Google will find a MUCH better path, and only add maybe 5-10 miles on a big trip. I do solely rely upon her once I'm in town though. But definitely make sure you have a good sense of where you are going. Google maps satellite view is good for that.

 

still need to pay close attention to bridges.

in my first month out theyt routed me to a street that had a low RR bridge. Guy on that street used to work for SNI helped me get turned around backing to a side street, says it happened all the time.

 

I couldn't agree more. Any GPS is just a tool, and whether it is useful or dangerous still depends upon the meat in the seat.
