Q: Why are there so many skid marks on interstates that ostensibly come from LCVs?

A: They mark where Swift drivers have run out of hours.

Always wondered what the story behind those were.

I agree Blair n Gretchen...I was taught by my trainer to never park on the shoulder, too dangerous. I find a truck stop 99% of the time or exit off the freeway and go back up to the entrance ramp.

Patty - as for the Porn Shop - BETTER be here if there is parking then "stuck" out there in stupid land!

YES - I have seen *TOO MANY* morons pulling over to the shoulders of too many highways AND the idiots did not make sure that THEIR butts were off the road or in-line with their front!!! As for the "off" ramp - hell yea I agree that IS the worst place to consider outside of a true emergency (I did this once for a team person)!

Story told to several of us at a company terminal is that late one night, tired, AND too pregnant with hormones she 'did not' see the truck & trailer pulled over in a dark spot (??) due to NO RUNNING LIGHTS LEFT ON!!! Yes she & baby died asap! THIS IS WHY laws are made to "force us" to do other things - GROW UP!

As for 'Qualcom' people - either LEARN to *trip plan* (stops & how long to get places or stopping EARLY if not sure!) - OR get off the road!

As for cops - yes they are ALWAYS busy with other things when needed UNLESS they are catching up on 'end-of-month' quota's & help the 'war on Americans' by taking things from us, stopping us, or invading our space!

Gpsman - NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR - WHY is it always you dudes that get to 'whiz' on the run YET most of us "ladies out here" HAVE TO plan our stops?? :crybaby:

The porn shop made me laugh. I got my boss with that once. I sent him a nice picture of the 2013 truck and trailer I had from the Rice Hill Pilot in Oregon. There is an adult shop in the parking lot. It was a nice sunny day and the adult shop sign was nicely in the back ground. I think it was a screen saver for a couple days until somebody pointed the sign out.:biggrin_25519:

Ouch, wrong guy to complain to. One of the first things I loved about my SO was the ability to take her anywhere, because she'll find a spot to whiz anywhere. Carries a roll of TP in her car, has since HS, and napkins and a baggie in her pocket when she walks the dogs. When she has to go, she has to go. If she drove a truck she'd carry a 5 gallon bucket and use a garbage bag as a liner...

Many drivers simply pull over to take their 30 each day. I see it more and more.

NOT complaining just stating a FACT! Yes I do have the bucket thing & can pee outdoors if place is right BUT IT IT STILL a *pain* to have to strip off the britches to do a nature call - ALL you guys can pee out from a WARM, SMALL HOLE!! :biggrin_255: THAT is why I said unfair! You do not get the "glory" of COLD weather LIKE WE DO!
