Years ago I was told by a trucking company official that " rookies will knock off the mirrors, tear off the mud flaps, dent the rims, and knock down fences, but for a really big accident it takes a veteran"

You don't see thinks like that all most everyday. Quit lying about trucking we drivers already have a bad enough image, without blowhards claiming things that are rare are common place. That being said SWIFT is the 3rd worst company a trainee or experienced driver could ever work for. The only two that are worse would be CR England and the all time bottom of the barrel CRST.

I'd say Warner slots into the bottom 3 and Swift is 4th from the bottom or even better, just my opinion of course.

Swift has really upped the ante in the last few years. They aren't as bad as what they were. I've seen less and less Swift drivers doing stupid things, granted, it still happens, but it's nowhere near what it used to be. I've seen more insanity from the Chicago based companies and owner operators then I've seen out of Swift. And I'm not fan of them. But facts are facts

I'm sure it also said something like emergency vehicles or authorized vehicles
maybe he thought it was an emergency. Or his boss authorized the swift move

After a bad snow storm, and you are heading down the highways, see what trucks are either in the ditch, flipped or in the median, and see how many are Swift. Doubt that you will see any. It is a lot easier to let dispatch know that a load will be late to the customer then CSR having to call the customer and tell them they are not getting the load since it is all over the interstate since we decided to be safe and get off the road. My funniest was once many years ago, a Fed Ex flipped the rear pup, in a truck stop going around a corner. That takes brains.

Took you long enough to reply to this ( poor excuse for a ) thread , been on vacation or what ?
Seriously thou you bring up a good point. I was in Dallas a month or so ago when the
ice came , headed up to Little Rock then East to N.Carolina , then ended up in
Wyoming right before Christmas when the gale force winds were blowing ,then across Mizzu in yet another freezing rain /ice storm. Seen a whole lot of trucks in the ditch , not one had " Swift ' wrote on it .
