Well, they talked about 1500 gross for this car driver when I was coming on. At the time I didn't realize how little gross pay meant in this business.

Cargo Vans and Spriinters are seeing less than a $1/mile loaded pay. Because it is so cheap to get into you see a lot of people doing it and that increases supply. This has to be the roughest life I can imagine. Living in the back of a van for what turns out to be less than $.20/mile profit on a couple thousand miles a week (if you are lucky).
At least with all the DOT "BS" you have a shot at making a living. -
Yeah. I used to drive tractor trailer. I miss it. Lost my cdl for health reasons. I seen this as an opportunity to get back in

I think I would look for a Civic and do the local courier work. $1500 per week driving a car would be great unless I'm missing something.

Depends on how many empty miles. Currently my ratio of empty to loaded miles is .51. A car might run at say .15 - .20 per mile
That guy could have a higher ratio meaning they're just running him ragged
