I don't see his post as bashing you or your thread. Its a great thread and ppl need to be reminded to be polite and courteous. But many drivers out there not you but many do let the littlest things bother them.In todays world being polite and courteous is unheard of.Yes theres a lot of rude drivers but I learned to just ignore them and go about my every day business.Thats what it sounds like lonesome is saying because you have to ignore those not many belives or even knows what polite and courteous means.

Bag a buck and hen. Peace and blessings. Times change. Some changes I like, some I don't. Life goes on. Another smile or another miserable mile. I decide what to make of each. It's just the way of the world Hand. Some fresh venison and wild turkey sounds mighty nice, though. I'd sure take some of either or both. Take it for what you will but if you got through all those years and get to curl your toes by a warm fire with a good dog and if you're lucky a good woman too (our life is hard on them as it is us. Lot of em bail) and some fresh food - Leave the fighting for another mile behind. You already proved everything to be proved and you won. You survived. It's time to relax and enjoy. Best of luck and Happy Hunting.

Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
You must be some kinda special if you think your advise about drivers not flashing headlights, saying thanks-ya, etc will make other drivers take notice, buckle down and do what YOU say, as opposed to the "bad" drivers taking notice of what the other drivers offering the same advice has given.
You are correct when you say "that's not going to happen". Many others have attempted the same mission and failed. You efforts will garner the same results. -

88 flashing the lights was just an example. ... not trying to tell anyone what to do. AGAIN it was a friendly suggestion... take from it what you want... im not trying to change the world. Unfortunately there are a lot of bitter angry people on here.

Bad-Luck, I think the others are saying that this has already been covered a gazillion times and very few take any heed. Most all of us that have been out here for any real amount of time feel the same way, but it's falling on deaf ears. You're pissin' in the wind, my friend. Sad, but true.
-
Maybe pissin in the wind, but even when I started in the 90's common courtesy still existed. People genuinely cared about their fellow driver and if he pissed you off you stopped on the side of the road and worked it out. Nowadays no one gives a #### about each other. eff, I ain't whinin' I'm just sayin'.
I can remember a time when you could see a truck that had no business in the left lane grab your mic and say "cluck cluck" and the truck knew #### well to get outta the way. Try that now and it falls on deaf ears. No one listens the the radio anymore. (myself included) To much trash talk and such.
One event from the past stands out above all else...Headed west on 40 a driver was talkin trash on the radio, man he was on my nerves. I stopped at the TA in Albuquerque and kept talking to the driver, he found me in the parking lot parked his truck next to me and we shared a 12 pack. Most of these guys out here now, I wouldn't share a slice of loaf bread with. To much attitude if you ask me.... -
I agree with you, fully. I miss those days.bad-luck Thanks this.
