Yep I always parked at the route 66 casino. Food, entertainment, and NO lot lizzards knocking on your doors... Both the TA and J were infested.

 

Thankfully I remained unscathed by the scantily clad women. Probably because it's cold lol.

 

Thanks to all of you that practiced good judgement and stayed on weather shutdown yesterday. I know it's hard to beat the urge to get out there and run..to get the load thru, but this storm is a doozy. We pulled a fair amount of trucks out of the ditch yesterday. No serious ones, thank goodness. But in most of the cases, the truck was within 3 miles of the truckstop they had just left.
Rule of thumb to decide if to 'try it' or not.
Look around the truckstop. If the owner-operators are not moving...STAY PUT!
When I went home last night there were 104 trucks on weather shutdown. We were expecting that number to rise above 150.
So don't feel bad.

 

Well they released the employee of the year awards.
Guess it just goes to prove it's good to be related to higherups in this company.
I don't recall anyone not related, winning that award in the 8 years I've been here.
