Just thought I would share my experiences with Lone Mountain, and my transition from Company Driver, to O/O..

    First some history -
Been Driving 20 of the last 24 years, Mostly Local.
Have been OTR for the Past 3 years, with the same company, and plan on staying with them when I get my own truck.

My credit is Good, But not great.. Been checking around the various truck dealers, and getting a feel for what they want for down payment, and other issues.

So, Sunday night 1-5-14 I submit an online app with Lone Mountain to get the ball rolling.
First thing Monday I get a call from their credit dept, and finish up the process..
I give them my Deposit, and will be waiting for them to get in the truck to the Ia location. ( Getting a Pete )
    So far... So Good..

Please dont highjack this thread by bashing em and warning me to stay away...

    kee1227 and russellkanning Thank this.

So does that mean you're allowing them to choose which truck you get as long as it's a Pete?

You gave them money on a truck that you have never seen? is it normal for you to give money first and then wait to get something?

Well Guys, From what I understand Lone Mountain is a good place to get a truck, I have been doing lots of research on these guys and they seem up and up unlike another company I have gone into in length about there truck not lasting long enough to get under a load. Let's see if they make good on this guys experience with them, I'm sure he knows what he is looking for, I'm sure he knows he can get the inspections from outside sources Etc. So let's let him tell us how it goes. without throwing up all over his thread.

    Thank You
