^ My bunk heater in my 660 will blast me out, like a sauna with temps around 20 degrees or above. Anything below 15 and it gets overwhelmed, uncomfortably cold. Anything below 0 and I have to start to make another plan.

Yeah, I think it was around 22 below zero last night in Minneapolis.
George just made a tent from the top bunk down to the curtain, and it's warmer.
He says he's not freezing, actually getting warm.
One more night....hopefully.

Gosh, oliver2, tell him not to take any chances. Pete is right, forget about the cost, and get a room. It isn't just a matter of being miserable, it is a health and safety issue. There is a driver in the hospital tonight in Minnesota, he broke down last night on the side of the highway, by the time help could get to him he was already suffering the ill effects of the sub zero temperatures.
oliver2 Thanks this. -
Nawww....I don't mind pampering him when he is home, I figure he deserves it after everything you guys have to deal with out there. However, there is only so much entertainment available during daytime hours when you have teenagers!
They know what's going on if you try to sneak off. When the temperature got to a balmy 12 degrees today I did ask him if he wanted to go skinny dipping .....he said sure ....YOU FIRST! I decided to feed him a good dinner and bake a cake instead!

Just checking in to let y'all know Im still alive. Picked up a load on the 30th out of Schuyler that delivered in Miami. Got to spend the night in Olathe after picking up and went out to Happy Wok with one of my best friends since he was on the yard too. Loved the weather in Miami, was walking around in a tank top and flip flops. Got reloaded in Leesburg and am now freezing my butt off n Effingham. Ive been here since yesterday afternoon. Bunk heater is set on 90 and even four blankets arent enough. As soon as my advance is available tonight Im going inside to get an electric blanket. I was originally supposed to make my first stop in Northfield, MN tomorrow at 0030 and second stop at 0730 in Minneapolis but those are rescheduled for Wednesday. We'll see how far I get tomorrow. Roads are solid ice. Not fun out here!

Gee, jaso, we only have about 8 inches of snow and this morning it was -10.... and guess what?????..... tomorrow we get more snow! Maybe some on Thursday too! Then on Friday we get rain .....the weather here is just wonderful. Can you tell that I have brain freeze?!

The King left this morning. I was kind of impressed with the Peterbilt, it pulled right on out of here even with drifts of about 18 inches. The KW wouldn't have been able to do it. The state highways in southwest Missouri are still in bad shape but once he made it to I 44 he said it wasn't bad today. He had to head toward Joplin to pick up but has to go toward St. Louis to deliver so we will see what kind of condition the roads are in on the eastern side of the state.
Glad you are home safe and sound, jaso. and hope you are feeling much better.jaso36 Thanks this.
