Hello fellow drivers, I've been on this trucking tip and it's been 6 years now.
Weather now has been really bad and I was passing by Longlac ONTARIO.
When I parked for a sec and tried to restart the truck, it wouldn't start.
So I had to tow... and ended up at this place called Ray & Doris truck stop.
The guy at the repair told me it would take them a night to touch my truck.
So I stayed at a motel and next morning I went.
They told me the diesel crystallized... and the owner had 350 L of diesel all taken out....
The owner was saying that my truck would stop in 20 miles if he had put the diesel back in my truck.
But since I'm an owner operator, I told him it would be my responsibility and told him to put the diesel back again.
He just wouldn't do it and this ****** said that I had 2 choices. Either I drive the truck out myself (no fuel in it... wtf?) or he would use his tow truck to take it out of his shop...
They said that there was a problem in Shell's diesel and now I'm trying to reach out to Shell....
I am really confused and want your opinion on it because I know a lot of experienced Sirs out here.
Could there been a problem in the fuel or is the owner of the repair shop just trying to thieve my fuel?
What should I do now....
Fellow brothers and sisters , help

Yes the diesel can freeze easily ... But there was no point of taking diesel out ... Did he tell you problem in your truck?
jakelove55 Thanks this. -
No sir, he just said that the diesel froze and it was all fuel's problem that the truck wouldn't start... now I don't know what to do
-
you can stir in treatment an get fuel going. How far to pump?
-
He should have asked you before doing this .. Did he ?? Did he tell you the reason why diesel froze ....
jakelove55 Thanks this. -
Sounds like it Gelled up.....how did he pull the fuel from the tanks if it was in a Gelled state ?
jakelove55 Thanks this. -
It soundss like I got robbed... do I have any options to report that only truck repair in that little town..
-
Did he pull off and show you the fuel filters? that's where the worst of the gelling would be, did you look at the diesel from the tank?
I think you are going to have to put that one down to experience......sorry, hate to see people being ripped off. -
Unfortunately not ... Crystallized diesel is of no use currently... Keep going buddy.. Just make sure he fixed the problem ...also in such bad weather never turn your key off.. From last three days i am leaving my truck on all night to avoid any hassle in morning ...
jakelove55 and baha Thank this. -
Live and learn....when the temp drops to 20 or less put anti gel additive in.
.....don't know how you will get your money backbaha Thanks this.
