?????????????? You need to work on your sales technique. Buy our Rebel box because our competition "is not good", why, what does it do wrong?
-
Im not trying to sell anything.

I expect that what Cetane+ was saying is that while it'd be good to have multiple settings available (as the PPbox offers) you'd be better off with simply a good tune from Rebel127. The reason for this is how each works. A PPbox has multiple settings/programs, none specific to your truck. The way those programs interact with your engine, it's well within the realm of possibility that you will do real damage very quickly to your equipment that will be costly to repair. A Rebel tune is designed for your truck and the way with which you operate it. It won't offer the distinct possibility of severe damage simply through it's use. A custom tune on an electronic motor will be the single best upgrade an owner/driver will make.
I figure that's what Cetane+ is saying, because that's the reaction I had reading the exchange. I have a tune from Rebel127. I would never advise someone to purchase a product or do a modification that I haven't done myself or wouldn't do. Conversely: I would and do recommend doing modifications and purchasing products that I've had positive experience with.Cetane+ Thanks this. -
Yeah I get it, I like Coke but I'm not going to tell you Pepsi will cause you serious damage without something to back it up. If you're happy with your tuner I get that, but I'm sure there are PPbox users that could come on here and rave about what a great investment it was. If you had a bad experience and it did damage explain. I have a feeling some of the posters here, if pressed for an example would start into a story that began with...my wife's, hairdresser's, brother in law's, friend knows a guy

Well this is the internet after all: feel free to tell me all about your experience with PP and rave all you'd like. I am not here to tell you how they caused me problems. Read all you want on this site: it's free. You can find plenty of examples of failures without my help
i also have nothing to sell- nor anything to prove via the internet. -
The reason I would likely get a PP box is because one of my best friends has one and it has been great for him. He has the same engine as mine, just in a hood instead of a shaker. He gets much better mileage than I do, he noticed a huge improvement when he did the turbo/manifold/box all together a couple years ago. His experience with it is enough for me to want the PP box.

Hey Image can you say what your .5 MPG's where. Like 6.5 to 7 or 7 to 7.5 thanks
-
from high 5's to mid 6's. used to get 5.5-6mpg most of the time. Everynow and then I would have one a little better or a little worse. Now I get 6-6.8, with most tanks being around 6.3-6.5mpg
That's in a 2003 Century 120 running 65-68mph. Ohhh yeah... that's one thing I noticed, after the turbo and manifold my "sweet spot" for mph/mpg moved up few mph. Before I would run 62-64, now I run 65-67 getting better mileage
Jetsr6 Thanks this.
