Walmart here I come!

The Safety Manager here in Sealy said when they changed the process from the initial interview in person to a phone interview it was for 2 reasons: Make it easier to attract candidates who live further away and put more of the decision to proceed through the process in the hands of Bentonville instead of the GTM at the DC.

I was in the last group hired last summer who had a face to face interview. Matt (drozzer69) was in the class before me and had to go through the same process as me. I am glad I had a face to face interview. It showed what they were really in for by hiring me LOL!

 

Thanks Matt. Well, I hired after last realignment and missed this one. I will be happy to just return from LOA! My doctor has cleared me to do all the functions of the job. Now I just need Bentonville to take me off the inactive list.

Did you bid for a different out day/time?

 

I have to say the lady who set up my phone interview was the nicest person I have spoken with in ages. I hope this is the same throughout the rest of the operation.

 

Will be no different the rest of the process and working here. Real professionals here. Not at all like an OTR company who churns out new drivers week after week.

 

Yes I would have to agree,, everyone Ive spoken with throughout the process leading up to now.. Have all been very nice and congratulating me when they speak to me......

 

is realignment the only time new guys can get on a program?

 

No. You can sign up for any open program. They pick by seniority. I got lucky, a program opened and nobody higher than me signed up and I got a 6/3 after only a month.

 

Congratulations on your decision and your fortune to get hired on with the Best of the best. Only about 1 out of 50 actually make the cut. I am lucky enough to be part of the Walmart team as a Driver myself.. You wont regret it I'm sure
