Maybe you have good morals but there's a lot of people who don't. Example, an official company mant. record shows that their shop just replaced a pitman arm. You buy the truck, have the record, drive down the road, pitman arm falls off and someone dies in the wreck. I'll let you guess who's also going to be in the lawsuit.
Used TMC trucks?

That is what I figured was being though of... Just doesn't make sense to me, especially with a carrier that has Integrity. I would have to push the issue up the chain and maybe sign a waver but, I would push to get those records. It means a lot to my bottom line.

DONT BUY A TMC TRUCK!!!!
Oil changes are only every 40,000 with non synthetic oil. That is horrible for a truck. TMC trucks are driven by drivers right out of school. That means they get beet to ____. The 13 speed trans are nice for experienced drivers, but they are not as tough as 10 speeds for new drivers. TMC is all about profit, they wont get rid of a truck until it is no longer profitable. Most of there trucks are on the verge of needing an inframe when they sell them.
This being said, TMC is a great company to drive for, but i wouldn't buy their trucks. -
Do you drive for them?

I used to, drove for a year and a half with them. Not a bad company to work for, but those trucks do get abused. I am going back to them in a few weeks, but this time with my own truck. (sick of pulling vans)

Hmm things must have changed a bit since I was there. Neither of my trucks were even remotely thrashed when I had them. Also oil changes were definitely closer than 40k miles and I'm pretty sure they used Rotella T. Then again, when I was there, the trucks were set at 65, with 70 if you went 2 years with no incidents. And, we washed the trucks biweekly.
I still think they maintain their stuff better than most other companies of comparable size. -
I think it has to do with the age of the fleet. The new trucks get in for service more, but they seem to not want to spend anything on the old ones. Most of the trucks have bad fuel gauges that they refuse to fix (prob just need new sending units.)

Rather spend the $ on his sons NASCAR ADVENTURE instead of the older trucks

Yeah, that's probably the size of it. Though I haven't heard junior is particularly talented.
