Sounds like your tanks are full of junk. Probably should be pulled and cleaned out. Either that or keep regularly putting additive in and changing the filters. Once you get all the junk run through the system it should be good to go unless it's an algae infestation. Does your fuel in the filter look black?

 

No, the fuel doesn't look black.
But the sludge that was cleaned out of the filter housing did.

 

Algae usually suspends in the fuel, just like in water, so probably not that. You actually have to go to a marine shop and get an Algaecide to mix with the fuel to kill algae. Just sounds like gunk that the additive is cleaning out of the tank.

 

got a load going from pheonix terminal to dropyard in calexico ca. said to pick up by midnite the 11th and deliver to dropyard noon today. didnt get prepland till 1500 today lol. called fontana and said i'll get there by noon tomorrow. they said ok and dispatched me. got to watch both games today at least. drove over to terminal and picked the load up.

 

Lucky. I've been sitting at the Pilot in Eloy, south of Phoenix since early yesterday morning without any load offerings.

 

slow freight here in pheonix looks like. specially on the wekends. been a real slow week for me this last week.

 

that sucks, im glad im not out there hunting for loads anymore.

Did Fresno and Van Nuys, Fresno is just a pain since the dock is so steep you have to completely dump your bags just to get under the trailer and when your dropping the landing gear wont touch the ground even fully extended so drop bags there too. Van Nuys was a bit easier and took me half the time compared to last time, a driver told me to use the street next to the dock to back in instead of setting up for a blind like I did last time since the street gets no traffic, it worked out pretty well. Tomorrow I run to Paso Robles then up to Atwater which is my favorite easiest store, little over 500 miles tomorrow.

Its been a bit slow they say but im still getting some decent miles, I made $257.77 on yesterdays loads just too bad the one wasnt a sweep then I would of hit the $300 mark.

 

There is a fuel additive my brother has used for a couple of years, available at most Walmarts for about $18 per gallon: Marvel Mystery Oil. One gallon will treat several tanks. Check it out.

My 34 is up at 11:00 today. Hope to catch a load from Phoenix to LA so my partner can do live loads tomorrow and head back out to Pennsylvania (he's on his 34 through 05:00 tomorrow).

 

picked up a tcall load at dropyard in calexico going to minooka il. gonna tcall it in oklahoma city terminal. hopefully can get it there weds nite to get the 1200 miles on this paycheck. at loves in yuma az and have 1175 to go.

 

Sat all day in Phx waiting for a load to get back to LA to pick up another round for TJ Maxx dedicated. Nothing... and it didn't help that the DM that handles the account takes Monday off. Lots of drivers in lounge at Flying J complaining about lack of freight.
