Mmmm... QC message... Changing over to Swifts QC account at the start of Feb... Also found out at the end of March our payroll department will be no more... EVERYONE of the payroll clerks have lost their jobs, unless they wanted to re-locate to Phoenix, AZ!

Wonder if we will still use Trip-Paks? From what I understand Swift uses Transflo?? Also will we still get paid via ComData?

Changes make me really uneasy!!

 

It's only money, right? For me, May can't come soon enough. My payroll has been solid since I've been here (only one error in almost two years), and I don't like the idea of some other group of people taking it over.

If swift is using transflow I'm sure we will be soon as well. I don't guess its a problem, but it's just one more thing I have to learn.

 

it might be a rumor maybe? because i heard drivers say safety is getting let go first of the year. and i know thats not true because they are still here. hopefully ti wont affect me too much.

 

I spoke with our payroll clerk... Right from her mouth... About the termination anyway... Not sure about the TransFlo etc.

So wow.. never seen this coming. Hopefully its a smooth transition but unfortunately, these things never go smooth. How is it going to work for the l/o drivers? Will you finish your central lease or transfer over to the swift lease program? Was central in trouble financially or did the big shots just want out?

 

If swift currently uses transflo. Then we will. I was talking to a driver at crsro who was at a swift terminal and was watching their drivers use a fancy machine to send bills. So I brought him to the old safety room and pointed to a machine and said. That one? They said that was it. So whatever swift has. We will be getting because the same machine they have is sitting at crsro waiting to be hooked up.

 

So how does tax season work if you were an owner op. I assume they will just be sending me a 1099 statement with earnings on it and that's it? I know I'll be getting a W2 for my time as a company driver, I'm just a bit confused about the 1099 deal. Or will they send me a document that lists my net income after all of my truck expenses? If not, I still have all of my pay-stubs so its not the end of the world.

Has anyone gotten safety or OTD bonuses for 2013Q4? It just occurred to me that I haven't gotten mine, and they aren't pending either.

 

The bonus have been done away with. It was confirmed to us a month back at the terminal.
